Kindergarten is all about learning, growing, and sharing. We like to have some time set aside every day for the children to have some "down" time. During this self-directed learning time, they have the opportunity to work on puzzles, build with Legos, use Play-doh, draw, read, or go on the computer. They decide where they want to go and what they want to do. This is very important in the life of a Kindergarten student. They learn to share, take turns, converse with one another and make new friends. This is one of the things that makes Kindergarten so special.

Piper is loving Kindergarten! Thanks for making learning fun! Those pictures are so cute :)
I love the pic of Raphael and the hippo! And he has told me about the Legos, he has really enjoyed that time.
Love the free choice time. Even when the students are "playing", they are learning (ie. sharing).
