Groundhog Gets A Say and More 2013

On Friday, we were treated to an extra special "Fun Friday Treat" when Mrs. D. came in and read the children "Groundhog Gets a Say" by Pamela C. Swallow.  This is a fact-filled book that teaches the students about groundhogs including: How fast they can run, how loud they can whistle, and how many uses they have for their teeth.

Afterward, there was a special pudding treat with some cute groundhog cookies popping out...I wonder if  these groundhogs saw their shadows.

Well, according tot the real groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, did not see his shadow so an early spring is on the way!

Oh, I'm so happy you posted this! Sofi talked A LOT about the treat, and I really wanted to see them. Thank you, Mrs. D. Groundhog's Day now has a new meaning to me because I love seeing my daughter gets SO excited about Punxsutawney Phil and waking up early to see him on the news.
