The day of Powwow finally arrived. The children were so excited saying how they hardly slept the night before. The slide show will tell the story of a truly remarkable event! Thanks to Melanie H. for the great pictures!

Thank you SO much Mrs. Mallon and Mrs. Dillard for the wonderful lessons and activities you did in preparation for this event. My kids learned so much, had fun and I know will remember it forever!

I absolutely love this tradition! I know it takes so many people oodles of time to plan and prepare, because there is so much depth to the day, but from an observer's perspective it is so worth it. These are cherished memories not only for students but for parents, too.

Chets Creek never seizes to aMAIZE me! Pow-Wow was done in true Chets fashion, always going above and beyond. Teachers could have simply read a Native American book for this study. Instead, the students read, wrote, sang, danced, and had an authentic EXPERIENCE of Native American life. As a teacher and parent, I have seen both sides of education. I see now how the hard work translates into a good and rewarding experience for both child AND parent. I've witnessed the education cycle completed, from teaching to learning. I am thankful for this wonderful school and everyone's hard work which made for another successful Pow-Wow.
With MUCH appreciation,
Lenape Lourdes :)
