Literary Characters - Dressed Up for the Parade
Created with Admarket's flickrSLiDR.
One of our favorite traditions at Chets Creek is the Literacy Character Parade. Students dress up as their favorite literary character and parade around the halls of the school for all of the older students to enjoy. We had pirates, fairies, angels, GI Joes, Star Wars, cowboys, cowgirls, and Scooby Doo represented. Enjoy the pictures that our official class photographer, Melanie H., has taken for us!

What fun it was seeing the kids all dressed up. They were so excited to march in the parade. We're planning what to wear for next year already!
Thanks again to Melanie for capturing all the costumes, smiles, and memories for us. We really appreciate it! You are a "Picture Perfect" photographer!
Looks like everyone had a blast dressing up! That's a great way to really get the kids interactive with the stories they're reading. Loved the pictures!
